About Us
Welcome to our Novel Ladies Bestsellers & Reviews Blog!

We’re the Novel Ladies! We have a Bookclub on Goodreads, where we discuss books, books and more books! We love to read fiction of any genre, from romance, romantic suspense and thriller, to historical and contemporary, to horror and paranormal.
On this blog, you’ll find our current group reads, an author spotlight page, our Novel Ladies Bestseller listing, and reviews!
Our Novel Ladies Bestseller listing, you ask? Why yes, we have one! Our bestseller list consists of books submitted for our very own 5-Star Program. Members are encouraged to read the books in a certain time frame and rate it. If the majority of the members that read a particular book rated it 5 stars, it becomes a Novel Ladies Bestseller!
So, don’t hesitate to browse around! And if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact either Gina at gina ”at” novelladies dot com - or – Christa at christa “at” novelladies dot com (e-mail addresses spelled this way to prevent our inboxes from filling with spam.)
Enjoy and Happy Reading!
P.S. Hmm… Well, it seems that the news is spreading like wildfire. Due to new FTC Regulations, it’s quite possible that any one of us here at Novel Ladies can be charge up to $11,000 for not stating where we got the books we review.
“The revised Guides also add new examples to illustrate the long standing principle that “material connections” (sometimes payments or free products) between advertisers and endorsers – connections that consumers would not expect – must be disclosed. These examples address what constitutes an endorsement when the message is conveyed by bloggers or other “word-of-mouth” marketers. The revised Guides specify that while decisions will be reached on a case-by-case basis, the post of a blogger who receives cash or in-kind payment to review a product is considered an endorsement. Thus, bloggers who make an endorsement must disclose the material connections they share with the seller of the product or service.”
While we find this extremely annoying, because none of us are being paid in any way, shape or form to give you, our readers, our opinions, neither one of us wants to face that kind of charge. Therefore, let it be said now, for “those who need to know“, our books were either purchases individually at a bookstore (used bookstores included), or by loan through a library, or by borrowing the book from a friend. If, for any reason, either of us receives a book for free to review, it will be mentioned in that specific review where the book came from. We, at Novel Ladies, pride ourselves on our honesty in our reviews, regardless of where the book came from. Free books do not guarantee a glowing review from any of us.
